Integrative Counselling in Basingstoke

A safe and empathetic space to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace

Welcome to Cathy Mitchell Counselling

Hello, I'm Cathy, a Qualified Integrative Counsellor and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Based in Basingstoke, I offer face-to-face counselling in a safe, warm, and confidential environment.

I work with adults, children, and young people and I'm deeply committed to providing an inclusive and non-judgemental space for all my clients, where you can feel truly heard and supported.

Life can feel overwhelming at times, and it’s natural to face moments of uncertainty. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, feeling lost, or struggling to navigate relationship challenges, it can sometimes feel impossible to see a way through.

For young people, the pressures of school, friendships, and growing up can often feel too much to manage.

It’s okay to ask for help. Together, we can not only work through your present challenges but also explore how the past may be influencing them, helping you find clarity and healing. Whatever brings you here, I'm here to listen, understand, and work alongside you towards positive change

How Counselling Can Help You

Counselling isn't about someone telling you what to do. It's about us working together to help you understand yourself better. In our sessions, you'll have a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement. I can offer new perspectives and help you see your struggles differently. Together, we'll develop strategies to handle life's challenges and build your self-esteem and confidence. Through our work, you can become more self-aware and gain a clearer sense of what you want in life.

Counselling for Children and Young People

For young people, counselling can be a lifeline. It's a chance to talk about the things that are hard to share with friends or family. Together, we can work on managing school stress, building self-confidence, and navigating the tricky waters of growing up.

If you're concerned about your child, counselling can provide the support they need to thrive. I work with young people of any age, helping them develop emotional resilience and healthy coping mechanisms.
